Mid Canterbury and North Otago host Meads Cup semis

Mid Canterbury finished on top of the Pinks Batts Heartland Championship with their last round win over Buller in Westport on Saturday and joined North Otago in claiming home semi-finals in the Meads Cup next weekend.

They will meet West Coast and Wairarapa Bush respectively after Thames Valley upset Wairarapa Bush 23-15 in Paeroa.

South Canterbury and Wanganui will host semi-finals in the Lochore Cup against Thames Valley and Buller respectively.
